Behavioral Support:
The role of a Behavioral Specialist is to assess behaviors of concern by conducting a thorough investigation of the behavioral and all factors or variables surrounding that individual by conducting a FBA, to develop a BSP/CIP, and to provide ongoing supports to the individual and/or his/her family in the home and community. Responsible for FBA, BSP and CIP development as needed.
- Training of and consultation with family members and waiver providers and other support providers in the purpose, objectives, methods, and documentation of the BSP/ CIP face to face on its components
- Responsible to the Program Clinical Supervisor
- AAW Candidates are required to have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or Applied Behavior Analysis or a PA Behavior Specialist License or a Master’s Degree with 50% or more ABA coursework.
- IDD Candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or Applied Behavior Analysis
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of computers and iPad
