Behavioral supports is a service that is utilized to assess maladaptive behaviors exhibited by an individual. Once a comprehensive assessment is completed, a plan is created to address the behaviors. Strategies and interventions are then taught to the team (individual, staff, family, and caregivers) to implement the plan. The plan is modified as needed to ensure progressive outcomes are met. Behavioral supports may be rendered in the community, at the individual’s residence, or a combination of both setting’s.
